We took a ride up the canyon by the "C" to look at fall leaves. It looked like there were a lot more from down here than when we got up there, but there still was some pretty leaves and the kids had a good time, they even picked some leaves to bring home and Whitnie took them for sharing the day.
This was a spider that I found by my side door when I was going to take the trash out...It scared me because as I pulled the garbage away from my house there this spider was, I'm sure I jumped pretty far. I killed it of course...But my mom found 2 at her house, so we caught 1 in a jar and took it to someone that would know and they said it is called an Ordweaver (don't know if that is spelled right) anyway they are not dangerous or poisonous, they actually eat other bugs and spiders, they are ( I guess) good to have around. They get pretty big and they make really pretty webs, that is why they have the name they have. So if you see one they are good.( I guess) I don't know if any spider is good in my eyes anyway. Although it is kind of cool looking!!! 
Here are pictures of the kids painting and playing a we even had a pinata for Bowden's birthday. Ivy even thought it would be fun to paint lip stick on her (at least it was pink) it was so pretty. The kids even had fun with the pinata and with other games that were planned for them, they came home with lots of prizes. Thanks Grandma and everyone that helped.
This is all the little kids painting little blocks and an activity to keep them busy for a little while. They had a lot of fun and there was paint everywhere.
Here are some pictures of some of the cousins at our family reunion. We had a great time.... It is nice to get together with family and play games, let the kids paint, and just let them run wild and get dirty and just visit.
Whitnie and Weylin's first day of 1st grade...They were so excited to be in 1st grade...They love their teachers. I can't believe they are already in the 1st grade, before I know it they will be driving and that is scary. They are growing up waaayyy to fast. They are at a fun age. They are pretty good kids most of the time!!! LOL
We had a surprise 50th birthday party for my dad in July, we had a Mexican theme because he loves Mexico and would have rather been there but couldn't afford to go this year. We had a few camp trailers and swimming pools with sand like being at the beach, ( The kids loved that part, it kept them busy the whole time) we made signs that were places from where they go in Mexico, we even had Johnny Trujillo make us some Carne Asada tacos with beans and rice which is my dads favorite Mexican dish. ( Which by the way was sooooo good, Thanks Johnny). We all had a great time and my dad was some what surprised!!!! But I do have one thing to say, surprise parties are waaayyy over rated!
We went to Las Vegas this summer to a birthday party for Whitnie and Weylin's friend, and it was at "Pump it up" We had a lot of fun, I think even the adults had fun. You realize that your body doesn't move like it used to when you were their age. My mom and I had a race through the obsticale course, and it was pretty funny because I faced planted it right against the side of the course, and we all had burns from the slide. But we still all had a great time.
