WaRd cAmP oUt 2009

Whitnie, Weylin, and Alex eating dinner the ward camp out. They had a lot of fun playing in the dirt. When we got home Whitnie and Weylin took showers and I gave Alex a bath and the water was completely brown, but at least they had a great time.

Happy 50th Dad!!

We had a surprise 50th birthday party for my dad in July, we had a Mexican theme because he loves Mexico and would have rather been there but couldn't afford to go this year. We had a few camp trailers and swimming pools with sand like being at the beach, ( The kids loved that part, it kept them busy the whole time) we made signs that were places from where they go in Mexico, we even had Johnny Trujillo make us some Carne Asada tacos with beans and rice which is my dads favorite Mexican dish. ( Which by the way was sooooo good, Thanks Johnny). We all had a great time and my dad was some what surprised!!!! But I do have one thing to say, surprise parties are waaayyy over rated!

SuMmEr 2009

We went to Las Vegas this summer to a birthday party for Whitnie and Weylin's friend, and it was at "Pump it up" We had a lot of fun, I think even the adults had fun. You realize that your body doesn't move like it used to when you were their age. My mom and I had a race through the obsticale course, and it was pretty funny because I faced planted it right against the side of the course, and we all had burns from the slide. But we still all had a great time.

Hogle Zoo

The kids liked the lion drinking fountain and of course the playground, I think the playground was their favorite part, we should have just went to discovery park, it would have been a lot cheaper! HAHA Whitnie's favorite animal was the giraffe and Weylin said his favorite was the snake! yuk!!! We did have a good time, it was nice to get away even thought it was only overnight. They even got to go swimming in the motel pool, they thought that was pretty neat too.

More at the zoo

We went to the zoo on Memorial Day, so here are a few things that we did. It was a lot of fun, but a very fast trip, just overnight.

Memorial Day Weekend

We went to Salt Lake to go to the zoo on Memorial Day weekend and we decided to stop at the cemetery to show the kids their Great Grandma and Grandpa Wheelwright and their Great Uncle are buried since they never knew them. It is a huge cemetery, it took us 20 min. to just get into the cemetery from the road, a lot of cars and people. It was very pretty there with all of the flowers around.

Pedicures

Frank and Weylin went on the father and son's camp out up at Yankee Meadow, so I took Whitnie and we got pedicures. It was a lot of fun!

Our Easter Weekend

On Saturday we went on a four wheeler/rhino ride down in the Mesquite area and went and climbed up on rocks and looked at Indian writing on the rocks and the kids went on a Easter egg hunt put there. On Sunday the Easter bunny brought the kids a chair with an outfit and flip flops, bubbles, coloring book and crayons, side walk chalk and some candy. Later on that day they went on another Easter egg hunt at Grandma Jolley's. We had a big lunch which was very good, we had ham and turkey and funeral potatoes, different kinds of salad and desserts. It was the difference between night and day as far as the weather was from Saturday to Sunday. Sunday was so nice, it was probably about 80 degrees. Well as you can see we had a good Easter weekend!!!

Easter Weekend in Beaver Dam. The kids had so much fun playing in the nice warm sun and going on an Easter egg hunt, and playing with their cousins.

Here is the whole Cooley family all together again. This doesn't happen very often because the Hansen Family live in North Carolina and it is very rare that we are all together at the same time. It is so good to have them here with us during this exciting time in the Marshall's life, it made me think of when Frank and I went through the temple back in 2000, it was a very over whelming experience and now to have seen Adrienne's family sealed brought back some good memories.

Our family on the steps of the temple, As you can see Whitnie wasn't feeling very well that day!
Here is the picture of Frank's sister Adrienne, husband Gus and their 4 kids Shakell, Aryale, Alyssa, and Gus Jr. in front of the temple just after that were sealed as a family. I just want to say that this was so neat to see them sealed to each other and especially those 4 kids all dressed in white sealed to their parents. We are so happy that they are now an eternal family.

Well, I just wanted to say that Frank's sister Adrienne and her husband Gus went to the temple last night. They went last night because Gus' sister Ashley is getting married in the Manti Temple on Saturday and now they will be able to go with them, How exciting!
In 2 weeks Adrienne, Gus and their kids will be sealed as a family in the St George Temple, I am so excited for them and the decision they made to go to the temple to be together forever. I am also so excited because it will be a neat experience to see her 4 little kids be sealed to them. It was a late night, we didn't get home until 11:00 p.m. and Frank had to get up and 2:00 a.m. and go to work, but it was well worth it to see Adrienne and Gus go through the temple. It made me think about the 1st time I went through the temple, How over whelming it is and at the same time how excited you are to be sealed to your husband and family forever. I can't believe that it will be 9 years in July. Boy! does time fly when you're having fun!!:) I will try to post some pictures on the day that they will be sealed.

Whitnie and Weylin playing just before they had to go to bed, they love to play with animals and Whitnie also loves being an animal herself, she is always on her hands and knees pretending that she is a dog for some other kind of animal. She is always wearing holes in her knees, I can't wait until it is warmer so she can wear shorts and I don't have to worry about her wearing holes in her brand new pants. Oh, well I guess that is what kids do! I would have thought that Weylin would have been more hard on his pants that Whitnie because he is a boy, but nope he hardly has any pants with holes in the knees, at least not as many as she does, I will just have to go buy some cute patches to put on her pants.

Here is a line up of cars coming around the bend during practice.

This is a picture of a car that wrecked right in front of where we were sitting.
Dale Jr. driving onto pit road after he was done practicing.
Frank and I sitting in the stands of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, watching all of the cars practice, in this picture this is Tony Stewart driving onto pit road.

Whitnie holding her new little cousin Brody. They were so anxious to go over to his house to hold him.

Whitnie and Weylin were dieing to go over and see the new baby in our family, so here is Weylin holding Brody.
